Mt. Evans Hospice offers free holiday grief workshops

"Honoring the Empty Chair"

MT. EVANS HOSPICE OFFERS FREE WORKSHOP
ON COPING WITH THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE
DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON
Whether it's recent or long ago, dealing with the death of a loved one can be challenging , especially during the holiday season when the expectations for celebration are high. Mt. Evans Hospice is hosting a free workshop called “Honoring the Empty Chair,” where bereaved adults will learn and share ideas to help cope with the loss of a family member or friend during the holiday season.

The workshop will be offered twice this season: Tuesday, Dec. 1, 10:00 a.m. to noon and Thursday, Dec. 3, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mt. Evans social worker Barb Lamperski, MSW, LSW, will lead the meetings, which will feature discussions about coping strategies and support resources. Light refreshments will be served.

Both sessions will be held at the Mt. Evans offices (3081 Bergen Peak Drive, Evergreen), and reservations are recommended. For more information, or to reserve a space, call Mt. Evans at 303-674-6400.
